Soon you will all get to know me as Mike Tran. I was born and raised in Columbus area. When I was in high school I did track and cross country, but now that I'm in college I cut back a lot on the running and I'm focusing on lifting weights because I didn't want to be scrawny anymore. I enjoy play sports, no matter what it is, but I love playing Ultimate Frisbee. Other hobbies include: playing cards (Euchre specifically), video games, and hanging out with friends (not just Fraternity brothers). I don't want to tell you what I think I am like, I think I'm honest, loyal or whatever. I want people to try to get to know me if they want to and not judge me based on first impressions, that is why I leave my facebook profile open for everyone to see photos and all. I mean if there is a person who is going to judge me by my photos or what my wall says and doesn't want to get to know me, that is fine. I don't try to judge people based on first impressions because I don't want to be judged like that either. I love being sporadic and being around sporadic people because whenever we get bored we always come up with ideas to entertain ourselves/others... some of them are crazy but, that is okay by me.
I made a quote one night when everything was against me and I was wondering what I could do because I felt like I had nothing to do in life. Here is the quote:
"I found a reason to live. It's not to be someone famous like a president, a movie star, or to invent something that will change the world. I’m here to change other peoples lives. I live life for that reason alone. Because someday I will save someone’s life, and in turn they will save another."
I have been living by that quote for nearly three years now. It seems like it would have been a quote from a movie like Pay it Forward, but I honestly have never watched the movie before. I guess that is why I'm really sporadic now because I want to enjoy life everyday and help out others whenever I can. That is why I do random things like the interesting fact that Patty said about me was that I helped strangers fixed their belts on their car. Granted it's not hard to do but they didn't have the right tools and knowledge of how to do it. I know I can't help everyone out but I will try my best to help the people that are close to me and the people that are need of some help. Like in the movie, I figure it will be somewhat of a domino effect. Which would be freaking amazing. Then the world would be a nicer place. I guess I'm changing the world one person at a time.
Here is a video that might describe how I feel about what we can do:
We can be that small group guys. We can change the world.
